Why we exist
Medical knowledge shouldn't depend on where you were born
The best clinical judgment in the world is unevenly distributed and mostly unrecorded. Our mission is to democratize it: hundreds of physicians studying one case at a time — and every case studied making the next one easier.
The problem
One doctor, one opinion, one chance
A family facing a rare disease can spend years moving between specialists before someone recognizes the pattern. Not because the knowledge doesn't exist — but because it lives in the head of a physician they may never meet.
Meanwhile, medical AI is being trained at industrial scale, often on labels produced as cheaply as possible. The judgment of experienced physicians — the thing that actually saves lives — is treated as a cost to minimize.
We think both problems are the same problem: clinical judgment doesn't circulate. DataLaps is the infrastructure to make it circulate — verified, blind, measured, and reusable.
The path
How we get there
We're an early-stage company building this in the open. Here is the whole plan — including the parts that don't exist yet.
Physicians certify as medical-AI trainers
Every physician in the network starts here: structured training and credential verification, so that "a doctor reviewed this" actually means something.
Blind consensus turns opinions into evidence
Multiple physicians study the same case independently. Verdicts are reconciled with the agreement measured — never averaged away. This is the engine everything else runs on.
Real cases enter the training loop
Progressively, the cases physicians study stop being synthetic: rare-disease cases, undiagnosed patients, second validations. Training and helping become the same act.
A collective second opinion for anyone
A family with an unresolved case receives a structured report of what an independent panel of physicians observed — informative, to discuss with their treating doctor, never a formal diagnosis.
Knowledge that compounds
Every case studied leaves a trace: reasoning, agreements, open questions. The next similar case starts further ahead. Medical knowledge stops evaporating in silos.
Alliances with rare-disease federations
Institutional partnerships so the cases that need hundreds of eyes — and historically got none — are the first to benefit.
The end state
A second opinion of hundreds, for anyone
The finish line is simple to say and hard to build: any person, anywhere, can have their case studied by hundreds of physicians reasoning independently — and the knowledge produced never has to be produced again.

Medical AI companies
Your models learn from the same engine: blind, defensible clinical consensus.
Physicians
Certify as a medical-AI trainer and let your clinical judgment reach cases beyond your consultation room.
Families and patients
A panel of independent physicians can study an unresolved case and report what they see.
Rare-disease federations
Partner with us so your community's cases are studied by many physicians at once.
